Application Procedure
Scholars and researchers interested in applying for a Reinan Grant must submit a proposal that outlines the goals and objectives of their project, the methods that will be employed, the budget, and the expected outcomes. The grant application should also include documents such as letters of support and institutional commitment. All grant applications and enquiries must be made ONLINE to grants@reinan.com.ng
Application Screening
Once the grant applications are received, they are screened to determine their eligibility and compliance with our grant guidelines. The screening process include assessing the project’s alignment with the grant objectives, the feasibility and sustainability of the project, and the overall quality of the application.
Technical Review
If the grant application is determined to be eligible, it undergoes a technical review to further assess its feasibility and soundness. This review involve evaluating the feasibility of the project’s timeline, budget, and methodology. Technical experts are consulted to provide insights into the technical aspects of the project.
Peer Review
After technical review, the grant application undergoes a double blind peer review process by at least two independent assessors knowledgeable in the specific field that project is based on. Peer reviewers evaluate the grant application based on predetermined criteria such as the project’s impact, sustainability, and potential for scalability. The peer review process helps to ensure that the decisions made are impartial and based on peer reviewers’ expertise and judgment.
Once the grant applications have been reviewed, a final decision is made on whether to award the grant. The decision takes into account factors such as the project’s alignment with our mission and goals, the feasibility and viability of the project, and the potential for positive impact. Successful applicants will be contacted and issued with their letter of awards. Applicants who did not scale through will be informed accordingly.
If approved for funding, the grant applicant is required to complete a detailed grant agreement that outlines the terms and conditions under which the grant will be disbursed. The agreement include details such as the grant amount, the start and end dates of the grant period, reporting requirements, and other obligations.
Throughout the grant period, the grant recipient is required to provide regular reports and updates on the progress and outcomes of the project. These reports help us monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the grant, allowing for continuous improvement and decision-making in the future.
